PERSIAN CLAWS formed in August 2008 in Burlington, VT. They draw inspiration from 60s cinema and life in a small town.
Indie music magazine, LOSING TODAY's online mag review of Persian Claws: "When Bill, Jeremy and Kirk are not busying themselves concocting beach curved boogie as Barbacoa they can be found moonlighting as the Persian Claws. Fronted by a certain Deborah Troiano the twanging template is still in place though this time clipped precision wise with a readily more toned and honed shade wearing aspect that prowls, pouts and purrs with strut kicked aplomb, embellished with honey dripped stare you down 60’s motifs these three showcasing cuts mooch amid a back dropped landscape of uber cool sub three minute shimmers who obvious idols are the Shangri La’s especially on the sassy and sleekly primed and skinny garage soul boogie that is ’clever way to crawl’ though that said we here are much admiring of the revved up rumble-tastic grind of the retro glazed ’ghostified’ with its Mono Men styled gnarled throb in a head on collision with the Sirens. More please. "
